Upon receipt at the Kana`iolowalu office, paper registration forms will be date-stamped. Electronic forms will be automatically dated upon submission.
Paper forms will be inputted into the registration data system.
Intake: each registration form will be reviewed for completion including minor clerical edits, and routed to the appropriate next step. Forms that are potential duplicates will be identified for special handling.
Upon intake, the registration will be officially counted as having been received, and the number (not name) may become public.
Registrations that do not have documentation may be routed for confirmation from a reliable source, or follow up with the person, including but not limited to obtaining a Kama`aina Witness declaration. Priority for confirmation of lineal descent shall be given to persons who will be 18 years or older as of April 1, 2014.
